About the baker
A little more of the person behind the handshake.
Christiaan de Vries brought a menswear designer’s eye for detail to series 15 of The Great British Bake Off. Born in the Netherlands and based in London, he draws on gardening, floral and citrus flavours, and the comforting birthday breads his mother made for him and his siblings.
Christiaan de Vries baked on 15 (2024) of The Great British Bake Off. One Hollywood handshake is on file: Finding Home biscuit puppet theatre, Showstopper (2 / Biscuit). One of those moments came on a Showstopper.
His “Finding Home” biscuit puppet theatre earned the fifth documented Showstopper handshake.
