About the baker
A little more of the person behind the handshake.
Michael Chakraverty is a writer, podcaster and baker who placed sixth in series 10. A theatre manager and fitness instructor at the time, he became Star Baker in Bread Week after his Keralan star bread and has since continued writing and broadcasting about food and life.
Michael Chakraverty baked on 10 (2019) of The Great British Bake Off. One Hollywood handshake is on file: Keralan star bread tear-and-share, Signature (3 / Bread).
His Keralan star bread earned both Star Baker and a handshake.
